**Exclusive** MK3 Focus RS First Build Date / Production

MONDAY 4TH JANUARY 2016 !!!! Thats the date the first MK3 Focus RS will be built at Fords German build plant.

How do we know this???

Being one of the first clubs to be dedicated to the upcoming MK3 Focus RS, we have many enthusiastic members, one of these eagle eyed members visited their local 'Ford Parts Department' this week and whilst watching the 'Ecat' operative (ECAT is Fords live parts pricing programme) price some parts for his 2015 Focus, they noticed a few of the 'Ecat' menus were flashing up with 'RS' options!!

Our member, being an RS enthusiast, made a note of what it said and reported to us the following:

Sub sections of the 'Focus 2014-' ecat slide are now showing RS parts, specifically:

FRONT BRAKE DISCS & CALIPERS, FROM 06-10-2014 (-) RS VERSION / FROM 04-01-2016 RS VERSION

BRAKE BOOST , VAC PUMP & AIR BRAKES , FROM 04-01-2016 2.3L ECOBOOST 350PS

BRAKES - HYDRAULICS FROM 06-10-2014 (-) RS / FROM 04-01-2016 RS VERSION

There were several other mentions of the RS, including pictures of the alloys and rear bumper with fog lamp

It was also noted that the RS uses a specific rear floor pan and also an RS specific steering column......maybe revised keyless entry???

We checked this out ourselves and yes its all true !!!!

Due to copyright laws we cant publish pictures of Ford's ECAT system, but visit your local parts department....its all there to see!!!

So Monday 4TH JANUARY, it looks like that the date when either the first MK3 RS will roll of the production line or at least full scale production is scheduled for!!!

So mark it in your diary and remember .....you heard it here first on the MK3 Focus RS Owners Club!!!
